Truth or Consequences Public Library adheres to the following policies for day-to-day operations:

The Main Library is on Third Street, about two blocks east of Date, on the same block as the Truth or Consequences Civic Center (the library is southeast of both Civic Center and the City Commission Chambers). Enter the parking lot from Third Street.

The Downtown Branch Library is located in the Lee Belle Johnson building, across the hall from the Visitors' Center.

For your reading, listening, and viewing pleasure, the library offers: Large Print, Western fiction, General fiction, Mystery fiction, Science fction, Nonfiction, Southwest and Regional materials, Children's Books, Audiobooks, CD, Videos (VHS and DVD), and access to Talking Books for the Blind. Interlibrary loan is also available for the books you can't find here. Most items take 1-2 weeks to come in, and are not renewable.

The library has public computers with Internet access in our Computer Room, open during normal library hours. Printing is available, charged at ten cents per page. If you prefer to use your own device (laptop, tablet, cell phone, etc.), WiFi is available throughout the building on an open network that also covers most of the parking lot. During the hours the library is not open, Wi-Fi is still working, 24/7. Look for the network named "Library". No password is needed.
