The Sanitation Division collects and disposes of solid waste for our customers here in Truth or Consequences. We have a fleet of trucks that regularly empty the poly carts and dumpsters located throughout the city.
HOLIDAY HOURS & CLOSURES
Monday January 1, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday January 15, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday February 19, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closing at 11:00am. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Friday March 29, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closing at 11:00am. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday May 27, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Wednesday June 19, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Thursday July 4, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday September 2, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday October 14, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.
Monday November 11, 2024, the Recycle and Waste Collection Center will be closed. All residential and commercial trash routes will run normal.

1) Operator reserves the right to refuse any load that is not in compliance with NMSWB Regulations 20.9.2.-20.9 NMAC
2) No waste or trash shall be placed or dumped on roadway, arroyos, open fields, around dumpsters/poly carts, or at facility gates. Violators will be subject to:
- Illegal Dumping Fines under State and Federal Regulation
- City Fines under Illegal Dumping
- Disposal and clean up fees.
- Etc.
3) All residents, contractors or visitors must stop at the scale house upon entering this facility
4) Residents may use the recycling drop off yard at no charge for recyclable items. It is the residents' responsibility to dispose of excess waste at the Collection Center drop off floor, fees apply. Only cash or checks with valid ID accepted.

NO LONGER ACCEPTING: “PLASTICS, MIXED PAPER, OR GLASS” FOR RECYLING.
RECYCLE TRAILERS WILL NO LONGER BE PLACED DOWNTOWN. RECYCLABLES MUST BE BROUGHT INTO THE RECYCLING FACILITY.
